DFLP Name Change Announcement - Marco Zimmer - 11-26-2019

Hello Comrades,
Today I am gathered here to make a big announcement. The Democratic Farmers Labour Party is no more.
But, that is because I am also happy to announce our new name is the Democratic Socialist Party.
I have long felt that this name has limited us and did not represent our aims, we will continue to support our traditional base- but now it is clearer on what our parties goal is, to bring socialism to our nation and make our nation work for everyone, from the small business owner, to the miner, the big business CEO, to the single parent who can only work part time.
This is part of what I’m going to call, the modernisation of our Party, making clear what we stand for and bringing prosperity to the land and everyone who inhabits it.
