Motion for Adjournment
#1
Madam Speaker,

Under the provisions of Section VII, Rule 9 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, I move that this Parliament stand adjourned until [RL date: Wednesday, September 4th]. With the upcoming banking holiday and with many of our members having travel plans, I believe it is important to allow members the peace of mind that they can spend time with their families during this period and to ensure that they may fully participate in the business of this Parliament upon its return. I further request that this motion be approved by unanimous consent.

(OOC: Given the upcoming Labour Day holiday and considering many of us are likely to be traveling or busy, I think a brief Parliamentary break is a good idea!)
