Ander Avon-El, himself newly elected and inaugurated Prince of Elwynn, had been invited to attend Campos's inauguration. It was a great honour. Ander thought that Alduria and Elwynn had much in common, both were new states with a strong cultural foundation, whose economies were ravished by various circumstances but getting stronger by every day. Soon, in a few years, Ander mused, Elwynn and Alduria would be two economic powerhouses in the world. But what really sets Alduria and Elwynn apart from the rest of the world is their belief in democracy and human rights.
Ander listened to Campos's speech. He felt roused by it. If he were Aldurian, what would he do for his country? It's a question he reinterpreted to refer to Elwynn. As Prince, what can he do for his country? And as an Elwynnese leader, what can he do for Alduria?
Ah, friendship between Alduria and Elwynn is in sight. This invitation, though unexpected, is a testament to an informal alliance of democratic ideals. Alduria has a new friend: its name is Elwynn.
