Alfonzo was present with a fetching young gentleman as his +1, much to the satisfaction of the tabloids and entertainment outlets who will no doubt dig more into this. Alfonzo sported an expensive tailor made tux with a conspicuous, old fashioned pocket watch hanging from his side, prompting even more coverage from the tabloids, fashion, and entertainment outlets with reception mixed between it being a "bold choice" or "stuffy". 

It was noted by certain media outlets that Velez seemed to enjoy the ball much more than the speeches and ceremony. The tabloids also noted that he seemed quite keen to dance with all sorts of eligible bachelors at the ball and how, despite trying to "pause" his playboy image on the Campaign trail, "Velez is back to being Velez."
