Order 046: Appointments and Orders to the Military Medical Services

ORDER 046

In accordance with Title I, Article 12 of the Constitution, which provides that the Republic of Alduria shall promote public health care, public education and schooling, schemes for social welfare, among others, and the development, research, and expansion of knowledge in all sciences, including the natural and social sciences; and 

In accordance with Title I, Articles 22 and 24 of the Constitution, which provides that the President of the Republic is Head of the armed forces and appoints to the civil and military posts of the state, and

In accordance with Section II, 8 of Order 018 which provides that, “The organization of the Headquarters of each service of the Armed Forces, and other necessary matters shall be prescribed by presidential order,” and 

In accordance with Section II, 9 of Order 018 which provides that, “When necessary for military purposes, joint units and other agencies may be established under the direction and supervision of the Secretary of Defense, as prescribed by Presidential order,” and

In accordance with Section IX, 6 of Order 018 which provides that, “Further provisions for the Aldurian Army Academy shall be made by presidential order,” and

In accordance with Order 045,

Pursuant to my authority as President of the Republic of Alduria, and the provisions of the Constitution of Alduria, I hereby promulgate the following:

SECTION I. Barrett Norris, MD, is appointed Surgeon-General of the Aldurian Armed Forces, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Lieutenant General in the Aldurian Army.

SECTION II. Gerald Foster, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Army, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Major General in the Aldurian Army.

SECTION III. Indra Rahil Eyram, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Navy, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Rear Admiral in the Aldurian Navy.

SECTION IV. Leila Bayliss, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Air Force, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Major General in the Aldurian Air Force. 

SECTION V. Isabella Almendras, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Coast Guard, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Rear Admiral in the Aldurian Air Force. 

SECTION VI. Maybelle Wicks, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Border Guard, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Major General in the Aldurian Border Guard. 

SECTION VII. Aurelia Casares, MD, is appointed Chief Surgeon of the Aldurian Support Services, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Major General in the Aldurian Support Services. 

SECTION VIII. Aileen McCracken, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Army, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Brigadier General in the Aldurian Army.

SECTION IX. Jennifer Reeve, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Navy, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Commodore in the Aldurian Navy.

SECTION X. Janice Humphreys, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Air Force, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Brigadier General in the Aldurian Air Force. 

SECTION XI. Alishia Benitez, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Coast Guard, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Commodore in the Aldurian Coast Guard. 

SECTION XII. Marnie Ornellas, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Border Guard, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Brigadier General in the Aldurian Border Guard. 

SECTION XIII. Roxanne Macias, RN, is appointed Chief Nurse of the Aldurian Support Services, and shall hold the rank and emoluments of Brigadier General in the Aldurian Support Services. 

SECTION XIV. Andrew Eccleston, MD, is appointed Director, Office of Emerging Medical Threats, Department of Defense, and shall have authority to represent the Republic of Alduria in the Advisory Council of the Health Emergency Subcommission of the Raspur Pact. He shall have authority to appoint one Deputy Director and no more than three Associate Directors, all of whom shall report to him and serve at his pleasure.

SECTION XV. The Surgeon-General of the Aldurian Armed Forces is directed to ensure that every Aldurian city shall have a military station hospital with a minimal capacity of 100 beds, with major cities having a minimal capacity of 250 beds, as well as standard hospital services and equipment. 

SECTION XVI. In accordance with Order 002, funds necessary to implement this Order shall be withdrawn from the Development Fund of Alduria.

SECTION XVII. This Order takes effect on its approval.
