B-022: THE INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE AGREEMENTS ACT, 1675
#4
Madam Speaker,

The measure now being considered by this honorable House is simple. No official, not even the head of government, may bind the nation to any agreement, unless the nation - as vested in this honorable House, its duly-elected representatives - consents.

This measure ensures the respect and preservation of the constitutional order, asserts the rights, privileges, and duties of this honorable House with respect to the executive branch of government, and reassures the sovereign people of Alduria that check and balances do exist in our proud democratic republic.

I yield.
